It's out, go buy it!

So Pixel Washer is my cozy little zen-like game where you play as Pigxel the pig.

It's extremely simple, designed to be easy to pick up and relax. Pick a job, load up your truck of choice with various guns (and/or cute pets), then spray pixels squeaky clean. That's about it!

Pixel Washer | Early Access Launch Trailer

I've found myself getting pulled into playing constantly while making it. I really do find the gameplay satisfying. It's a great way to heal your brain from the stress of life and troubles of the world.

🛠️ Ongoing Development

As an Early Access game, there are certainly areas for improvement. As you can imagine, I have my own list of stuff I want to tackle, but my publisher and I will be gathering feedback for a few weeks before announcing a specific roadmap.

I'll also be talking about the (admittedly last-minute) pivot into Early Access pretty soon on my podcast Make the Game.

📺 Pixel Washer YouTube Playlist

I've made a bunch of devlogs and podcasts about Pixel Washer, which you can check out here. I'll be adding to this playlist as I continue to develop the game over the next several months, so check back for new updates as they arrive.

❤️ Support My Silly Independent Pursuits

Valadria is really just me (Matt). I feel very fortunate to have partnered with Acclaim for Pixel Washer, which has allowed me to enlist the help of cool folks like Cellar Creek developer Mike Zehr and LINOVICTUS developer transmutrix.

But my little indie game studio is just me and I could use your help. Every sale really is precious to me. Your purchase of Pixel Washer (and my game dev book How to Make a Video Game All By Yourself) has a big impact on me and my ability to keep making stuff.

So please do pick up a copy if you can, and help me spread the word if you feel inclined. I appreciate your support, thanks so much!

I know this game isn't for everyone (what game is?), so if it isn't your cup of tea, worry not. Soon I'll be writing about game development itself, and eventually I'll start working on new (and very different) games.

In the meantime, go buy Pixel Washer! 🐷🫧 Thanks again and happy washin'
